The Importance Of Forgiveness.

MATT 6 V 14-15

Forgiveness Included In The Lord’s Prayer.

After this manner, therefore, pray you Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6 v 9-13.

Do Not Withhold Forgiveness From  Anyone.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6 v 14-15.

And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11 v 25-26

Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven: Luke 6 v 37

Jesu’s Power To Heal And To Forgive.

And Jesus entered into a ship and passed over, and came into His own city. And, behold, they brought to Him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemes. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think you evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, your sins are forgiven you; or to say, Arise, and walk?  But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, then Jesus said to the sick of the palsy, Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house. And the man arose and departed to his house. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled and glorified God, who had given such power unto men. Matthew 9 vs 1-7

Forgiveness  Knows No Limits.

Then came Peter to Jesus and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus said unto him, I say not unto you  Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matthew 18 v 21.

Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you saying, I repent; you shall forgive him. Luke 17 v 3-4

Forgiveness Must Be From The Heart.

So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt because you had desired me: Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you? And his lord was wroth and delivered him to the tormentors until he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall My heavenly Father do also unto you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Matthew 18 v 31-35.

Jesus Prayed For The Forgiveness Of All Of Mankind.

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Jesus, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots. And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.” Luke 23 v 33-35.
