The Gospel And The Name Of Jesus.

Salvation In Jesus Name.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His Name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.  Matthew 1 v 18-21.

Behold My servant, whom I have chosen; My beloved, in whom My soul is well pleased: I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench, till He sends forth judgment unto victory. And in His name, the name of Jesus shall the Gentiles trust. Matthew 12 v 18-21.

The Need To Believe And Receive Jesus.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1 v 6-13.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3 v 14-17.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on Him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans came unto Jesus, they besought Him that He would tarry with them: and He abode there two days. And many more believed because of His own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of  your saying: for we have heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. John 4 v 39-42.

Receiving Jesus, Receiving The Father.

And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, He said unto his disciples, Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of Man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hidden from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask Him of that saying. Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by Himself, And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in My name receives Me: and whosoever shall receive Me receives Him that sent Me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. Luke 9 v 43-48.

Receiving Eternal Life Through Name Of Jesus.

He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaks He that comes from heaven is above all. What he hath seen and heard, of that he bears witness; and no man receives his witness. He that has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for He gives not the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He that believes on the Son has eternal life, but he that obeys not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3 v 31-36.

But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name. John 20 v 31.

The Name Of Jesus And Prayer.

Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known Me, Philip? he that has seen Me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Shew us the Father? Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14 v 9-14.

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you. John 15 v 16

And in that day you shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. John 16 v 23 – 24

Effectual Ministry In Jesus Name.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Your name. Luke 10 v 17

And Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”Mark 16 v 15-18.

Go you, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28 v 19

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24 v 47

The Consequence Of Failing To Believe In The Name Of Jesus.

He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3 v 18-21.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and you shall seek Me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, you cannot come.  Then said the Jews, Will He kill Himself? because He said where I go, you cannot come.  And Jesus said unto them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am He, you shall die in your sins. John 8 v 21-24.
