The Gospel And The Heart.

Matt 11 V 28 30

Jesus Was Lowly In Heart.

Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and Lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11;28-30.

The Heart That The Father Desires.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5; 8

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6;19-21

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12;32-34.

And when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they themselves gathered together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with a question: Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?” Jesus declared, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22;34-40.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12 ; 30

And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. Mark 12;  33

Faith Is Of The Heart.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. Mark 11; 23

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6; 45

Afterwards, Jesus appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen. Mark 16; 14

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14;1

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14; 27

And you now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you. John 16; 22

The Heart To Avoid.

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13; 15

So the Pharisees and scribes questioned Jesus: “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders? Instead, they eat with defiled hands.”Jesus answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men. Mark 7;5-8.

He answered and said unto them, Well has Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, These people honour Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Mark 6; 52

And when Jesus knew it, he said unto them, Why reason you, because you have no bread? perceive you not yet, neither understand? have you your heart yet hardened? Mark 8; 17
