Repentance And The Gospel.

Mark 1 V 14 15

Repentance In The Ministry Of John The Baptist.

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent you: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is He that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leather girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

Then went out to John, those from Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, And the people were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. But when John saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth, therefore, fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Read More. “Repentance And The Gospel.”

Righteousness.

MATTHEW 5 V 6

The Father Is Righteous.

O righteous Father, the world has not known You: but I have known You, and these have known that You have sent Me. John 17 v 25

Jesus Ministered Through Righteousness.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfil all righteousness Then he suffered him. Matthew 3 v 15

I can of Mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me. John 5 v 30

Righteousness Must Be Sought Out.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5 v 6

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalts himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Luke 18 v 14

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. Read More. “Righteousness.”

The Essence Of Mercy.

MATT 14 V 14

Please note that the words Mercy and Compassion are one of the same in their meanings, what is said of one, can also refer to the other.

The Father Is Merciful.

And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those, who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6 v 31-36.

Jesus Is Merciful.

And as Jesus passed went from there He saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and Jesus said unto him, Follow Me. Read More. “The Essence Of Mercy.”

The Importance Of Forgiveness.

MATT 6 V 14-15

Forgiveness Included In The Lord’s Prayer.

After this manner, therefore, pray you Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in the earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6 v 9-13.

Do Not Withhold Forgiveness From  Anyone.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6 v 14-15.

And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11 v 25-26

Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven: Luke 6 v 37

Jesu’s Power To Heal And To Forgive.

Through Abiding In Jesus .

JOHN 15 V 1-2 NEW

 Fruitful Life.

I am the true Vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. John 15 vs 1-3

 Nothing Of Self.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15 v 4-6

Pray In The Name Of Jesus.

If you abide in Me, and My words shall abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples. Read More. “Through Abiding In Jesus .”

The Importance Of Believing.

JOHN 3 V 16

To Believe In Jesus, Is To Believe In His Father.

Jesus cried and said, He that believes on Me, believes not on Me, but on the Father that sent Me. And he that sees Me sees Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hears My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father Who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak. John 12 v 44-50.

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14 v 1

Warning Not To Backslide.

JOHN 15 V 6 NEW

The Need To Continue In The Vine.

I am the true Vine, and My Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in Me that bears not fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me.  I am the Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15 v 1-6

Do Not Lose Your Savour, Nor Your Light.

You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is, therefore, good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under the feet of men. Read More. “Warning Not To Backslide.”

Faith In A Believers Life.

MARK 11 V 20-22.

Faith Is Trust In The Father.

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you; whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11 v 20-24.

And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Matthew 6 v 28-30

Fearing God Not Men.

LUKE 12 V 31-32.

Do Not Fear What Men May Say Or Do.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee you into another: for verily I say, you shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of Man become. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not, therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak you in light: and what you hear in the ear, that preach you upon the housetops. Matthew 10 v 23-27.

Do Not Let Fear Rob You Of The Blessing.

While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. Those Who Are Blessed.

JOHN 20 V 29 NEW

The Blessings From The Lord.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5v3-11

And Jesus lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said, Blessed, be you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you that hunger now: for you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: for you shall laugh. Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
