It Is Finished!

John 19 V 30.

Then, certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered Jesus, saying, Master, we would see a sign from  You. But He answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12: 38-40.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:  And they shall kill Him, and the third day He shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. Matthew 17: 22-23.

I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. An hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you this way but will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day, you will ask in My name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father.” John 16: 25-28.

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, His mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary, the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.  When Jesus, therefore, saw His mother and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, Jesus said unto His mother, Woman, behold your son!  Then Jesus said to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.  After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished and that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.  Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to His mouth. When Jesus, therefore, had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and he bowed His head, and gave up the ghost. John 19: 25-30.
