Words of Spirit and Life

Honour The Son, Honour The Father.

All Men Should Honour The Son.

Then Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do: for what things soever the  Father does, these also does the Son likewise.  For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things He does: and the Father will shew Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickens them; even so the Son quickens whom He will.  For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment unto the Son:  That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that does not honour the Son does not honour the Father which has sent Him. John 5:19-23.

Honour From The Father Must Be Sought.

I receive not honour from men.  But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.  I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.  How can you believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that comes from God only?  Read More. “Honour The Son, Honour The Father.”

Seeking First The Kingdom Of God.

The Believer In Christ Is Valued By The Father.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? Luke 12:22-25.

The Futility Of Worry.

And which of you, by worrying, can add one cubit to his stature? If you cannot do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? Luke 12:26-28.

Seeking With The Right Priority.

“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. Read More. “Seeking First The Kingdom Of God.”

Being Yoked To Jesus.

To Know Father Is To Know Jesus.

At that time, Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Matthew 11:25-27.

Learning From Jesus.

Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart. You will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30.

One’s Life Doe’s Not Consist On Possessions.

Luke 12 V 15

One’s Life Doe’s Not Consist On Possessions.

Then, one from the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But Jesus said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”  And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Luke 12:13-15.

Life Does Not Evolve Around Self.

Then Jesus spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ Luke 12:16-19.

The Wrong Place To Store Treasure.

But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” Read More. “One’s Life Doe’s Not Consist On Possessions.”

Calling Sinners To Repentance.

Repentance From Sin Is Crucial For Salvation.

When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Matthew 9:12-13.

Faith Receives From The Father’s Provision.

So Jesus got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city. Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!” But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? Matthew 9:1-4.

Salvation Provides Forgiveness From Sin And Healing Of Body.

For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” And he arose and departed to his house. Who Are Those Who Enter Heaven?

Who Are Acknowledged By Jesus?

While Jesus yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood without, desiring to speak with Him. Then one said unto Jesus, Behold, Your mother and Your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with You. But Jesus answered and said unto him that told him, Who is My mother? and who are My brethren? And Jesus stretched forth His hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is My brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:46-50

Who Are Those Who Enter Heaven?

Not everyone that will say unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name, we have cast out devils? and in Your name, we have done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them,” I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7 : 21-23.

Letting Your Light Shine Before Men.

Jesus, The Light Of The World.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12.

Believers In Christ Are To Be Lights In The World.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5: 14-16.

Believers Must Continue To Walk In The Light.

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness does not know where he goes.  While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them. John 12:35-36.

Shining In The Kingdom Of God.

Jesus answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man;  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.   Read More. “Letting Your Light Shine Before Men.”

Forgiveness In The Life Of A Believer.

The Essential Requirement Of Faith In God.

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. Mark 11:20-22.

Believing In The Heart.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:23-24.

The Importance Of Forgiveness.

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”.Mark 11:25-26.

The Protocol Of Prayer.

Therefore, pray you: Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Read More. “Forgiveness In The Life Of A Believer.”

Those Who Love Him, Keep His Word?

Jesus, The Life Giver.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world sees Me no more, but you see Me: because I live, you shall live also. On that day, you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. John 14:18-20.

Love Requires Action.

He that has My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him. John 14: 21.

Therefore, whosoever breaks one of these least commandments and teaches men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whosoever does and teaches them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19.

The Father Rewards Those Who Love Jesus.

Judas, not Iscariot, said unto Jesus, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself unto us, but not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him. Taking Up One’s Cross.

The Responsibility Of An Individual.

Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it.  For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward every man. Matthew 16:24-27.

The Carrying Of The Cross Is Continuous.

And Jesus said to them all If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  For what is a man advantaged if he gains the whole world, and loses himself or is cast away?  For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father’s, glory and of the holy angels.
