Words of Spirit and Life

The Kingdom Must Be Received.

Taking Hold Of The Kingdom.

And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went you out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? But what went you out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what went you out for to see? A prophet? Yes, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, “Behold, I send My messenger before your face, who shall prepare the way before You”.

Truly I say unto you; Among them that are born of women, there has not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you will receive it, this is Elijah, who was for to come. He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 11:7-15.

The Kingdom Must Be Proclaimed.

The Great Commission Preach The Gospel Of The Kingdom.

And Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe In My name: they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.Mark 16:15-20

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The Father’s Glory And Jesus.

The Father’s Glory And Jesus.

My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? but for this cause, I came unto this hour. Father, glorify Your name. Then there came a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to Jesus. Jesus answered and said, This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto Me. This, Jesus said, signifying what death He should die. John 12 vs 27-33.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You: As You have given Him to have power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. Read More. “The Father’s Glory And Jesus.”

The Do Not’s Of Jesus.

Do Not Your Alms Before Men.

Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise, you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore, when you do thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have the glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6;1-2.

Do Not Worry About Your Life.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

And which of you, by worrying, can add one cubit to his stature? If you cannot do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Read More. “The Do Not’s Of Jesus.”

The Gate And The Path Are Narrow That Leads To Eternal Life.

Entrance Into The Kingdom Is Narrow.

Enter you in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14.

Strive To Enter.

And Jesus went through the cities and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And Jesus said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ Read More. “The Gate And The Path Are Narrow That Leads To Eternal Life.”

The Believer And The Revelation Of The Kingdom.

The Mysteries Of The Kingdom.

And the disciples came, and said unto Jesus, Why do You speak unto them in parables? Jesus answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them, it is not given. For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has. Matthew 13:10-12.

Closed Eyes And Closed Heart.

Therefore I speak to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, who said; By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13:13-15.

Open Eyes Open Hearts.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Read More. “The Believer And The Revelation Of The Kingdom.”

Righteousness And The Kingdom.

The Father Is Righteous.

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O Righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:24-26.

Jesus Ministered Through Righteousness.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly, a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Read More. “Righteousness And The Kingdom.”

Righteous.

The Father Is Righteous.

O righteous Father, the world has not known You: but I have known You, and these have known that You have sent Me. John 17 : 25

Jesus Ministered Through Righteousness.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfil all righteousness Then he suffered him. Matthew 3 : 15

I can of Mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me. John 5 : 30

Righteousness Must Be Sought Out.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5 : 6

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalts himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He has come, He will reprove the world of sin, and righteousness, and judgement: Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and you see Me no more; John 16 : 7-10

Repentance and The Kingdom.

The Ministry Of John The Baptist.

In those days, John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’ ”John wore a garment of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region around the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. Matthew 3:1-6.

The Ministry Of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, He went and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death,a light has dawned.”From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” Read More. “Repentance and The Kingdom.”

House Of Prayer.

Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to Jesus in the temple, and He healed them. And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that Jesus did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto Him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said unto them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have perfected praise? And Jesus left them and went out of the city into Bethany, and He lodged there. Matthew 21 : 12-17.

So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple and overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. Read More. “House Of Prayer.”
