Enter Into Your Closet.

MATT 6 V 6

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you; They have their reward. But when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not you, therefore, like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, even before you ask Him. Matthew 6 v 5-8.

Do Not Pray Like An Hypocrite.

MATT 6 V 5-6

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you; They have their reward. But when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6 v 5,7.

.Then Jesus spoke to the multitude, and to His disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: whatsoever they bid you to do observe,  but do not you after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do so as to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries and enlarge the borders of their garments, And they love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. Pray For Those Who Despitefully Use You.

MATT 5 V 44

You have heard that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  But I say unto you, that you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue you at the law, and take away your coat, let him have your cloak also. And whosoever shall compel you to go a mile, go with him two. Give to him that asks of you and from him that would borrow from you do not turn him away.

You have heard that it has been said, you shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who shall despitefully use you, and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same? Read More. “Pray For Those Who Despitefully Use You.”

The New Covenant.

MARK 14 V24-25

Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where would You have us to prepare for You to eat the Passover? And Jesus said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master says, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the Passover.

Now when the even was come, Jesus sat down with the twelve. And as they did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray Me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto Jesus, Lord, is it I? And Jesus answered and said, He that dips his hand with Me in the dish, the same shall betray Me. The Son of Man goes as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, which betrayed Him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, you have said. Read More. “The New Covenant.”

The Separation of The Sheep and the Goats.

MATT 25 V 34

When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry and you gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and you took Me in: Naked, and you clothed Me: I was sick, and you visited Me: I was in prison, and you came unto Me.

Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry? and fed You? or thirsty, and gave you drink? When did we see You as a stranger and took You in? or naked, and clothed You? Or when did we see You sick or in prison and came unto You? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me. The Parable of the Talents.

MATT 25 V 14

For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several abilities; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them another five talents. And likewise, he that had received two, he also gained another two. But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time, the lord of those servants came and reckoned with them.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, You delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained another two talents besides them. The Parable of the Ten Virgins.

MATT 25 V 1-3

Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom? Now five of them were wise, but the other five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, but took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. Now the foolish virgins said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there will not be enough for us and for you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man shall come. Read More. “The Parable of the Ten Virgins.”

The Parable Of The Marriage Feast.

MATT 22 V 2-3.

And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said, The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, who made a marriage for his son And sent forth his servants to call them that were invited to the wedding: but they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them who have been invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who have been invited were not worthy. Go you therefore into the highways, and as many as you shall find, call them to come to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. The Parable of the Two Sons.

MATT 21 V 32

But what do you think? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterwards he repented, and went. And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I  will go, sir: but he never went. Which of the two did the will of their father? They said unto Him, The first. Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the Kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and you, when you had seen it, repented not afterwards, that you might believe him. Matthew 21 vs 28-32.

Jesus said unto them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore I say unto you The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Read More. “The Parable of the Two Sons.”

The Request Of The Mother Of James And John.

MATT 20 V 23

Then came to Jesus the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping Jesus, and desiring a certain thing of Him. And Jesus said unto her, What do you ask of Me? She answering said unto Him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on Your right hand, and the other on the left, in Your Kingdom. But Jesus answered and said, you do not know what you are asking for. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They said unto Jesus, We are able. And Jesus said unto them, You shall drink indeed of My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on My right hand, and on My left, is not Mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of My Father. Matthew 20 vs 20-23

Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.” And He said to them, “What do you want Me to do for you?”  Read More. “The Request Of The Mother Of James And John.”
