The Importance Of Believing.

To Believe In Jesus, Is To Believe In His Father.

Jesus cried and said, He that believes on Me, believes not on Me, but on the Father that sent Me. And he that sees Me sees Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hears My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father Who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak. John 12 v 44-50.

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14 v 1

Believe you not that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. John 14 v 10-11

I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world and go to the Father. His disciples said unto Him, Lo, now You speak plainly, and speak no proverb. Now, are we sure that You know all things, and need not that any man should ask You by this we believe that You came forth from God. Jesus answered them, Do you now believe? John 16 v 28-31

Salvation In The Name Of Jesus Only.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Jesus might be saved. John 3 v 16-17.

He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, but the world did not know Him. He came unto His own, but His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: John 1v12

He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name, they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16v16-17

Believe From The Heart.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says,Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Mark 11 v 23-24

In the morning, as Jesus returned into the city, He was hungry. And when He saw a fig tree on the way, He came to it, and found no fruit on it, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on you henceforward forever. And presently, the fig tree withered away.  And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. Matthew 21 v 20-22.

Saving Faith Comes By Hearing The Word.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on Jesus for the testimony of the woman, who said He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans came unto Jesus, they besought Him that He would tarry with them: and Jesus stayed there for two days. And many more believed because of His own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of you saying: for we have heard Jesus ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. John 4 vs 38-42.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, You seek Me, not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat that perishes but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you, for God the Father has sealed Him. Then the people said unto Jesus,  What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom the Father has sent. John 6 v 26-29.

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his Name. John 20v31

Receiving Eternal Life Through Believing.

Jesus said unto her, Your brother shall rise again. Martha said unto Him, and I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? Martha said yes, Lord I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who would come into the world. John 11 v 23-27.

There Is Nothing Impossible To Those Who Believe.

And when they came to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to Jesus, and said, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for often he falls into the fire, and often into the water And I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him. Then Jesus said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him here to Me. And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting. Matthew 17 vs 14-21.

Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help You my unbelief. Mark 9 v 23-24

Condemnation For Failing To Believe.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Jesus might be saved. He that believes on Jesus is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3 vs 16-21.

He that believes on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3v36

Consequence For Failing To Believe.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go My way, and you shall seek Me, but you shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will He kill Himself? because He said, where I go, you cannot come. And Jesus said unto them, you are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you do not believe that I am He, then you shall die in your sins. John 8 v 21 – 24.
