Those Who Are Blessed.

JOHN 20 V 29 NEW

The Blessings From The Lord.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5v3-11

And Jesus lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said, Blessed, be you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you that hunger now: for you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: for you shall laugh. Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Luke 6v20-22

Do Not Allow Offences To Prevent The Blessings Of The Lord.

And it came to pass when Jesus had made an end of commanding His twelve disciples; He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples unto Jesus. And they said unto Jesus,” are you He that should come”, or do we look for another?  Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which you hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hears, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he; whosoever shall not be offended in Me. Matthew 11vs 1-6

The Privilege Of Having Eyes To See, And Ears To Hear.

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them. Matthew 13 vs 15 -17.

And Jesus  turned  unto His disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see: Luke 10v23

Those Blessed Of The Lord Shall Inherit The Kingdom.

When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry and you gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and you took Me in: Naked, and you clothed Me: I was sick, and you visited Me: I was in prison, and you came unto Me. Matthew 25v 31-36.

Blessed Are Those Who Are Watchful For The Lord’s Return.

“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning, and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. Luke 12 v 35-38.

Blessed Are They That Believe Without Seeing.

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples, therefore, said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe. And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then Jesus said to Thomas, Reach hither your finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither your hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing. Thomas answered and said unto Jesus my Lord and my God. Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20 vs 24-29.
