The Kingdom And The Authority Of The Believer.

MATT 16 V 19.

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked the disciples, Who do men say that I the Son of Man am? And they answered by saying, Some say that You are John the Baptist: some say Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. Jesus said unto them, But whom do you say that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him; Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I say also unto you That you are Peter, and upon this rock, I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then Jesus charged His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ. Matthew 16 vs 13-20

Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?”So they answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”Then He strictly warned them that they should tell no one about Him. Mark 8 vs 27-30.

And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” So they answered and said, “John the Baptist, but some say Elijah, and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.” And Jesus strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.” Luke 9 v 18-22.

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked no more with Him. Then Jesus said unto the twelve, Will you also go away? Then Simon Peter answered Jesus, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that You are that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for it was he that should betray Jesus, being one of the twelve. John 6 vs 66-71.
