The Introduction.

MATT 4 V 17.

Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, He departed into Galilee; And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light, and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4 vs 12-17.

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Going on a little farther, Jesus saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat, mending their nets. Immediately Jesus called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Jesus. Mark 1 vs 12- 20.

And Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, Jesus went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto Jesus the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, Jesus found the place where it was written. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And Jesus closed the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him. And Jesus began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare Him witness and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. Luke 4 vs 16-22.
